A Trip To Taiwan with Two Kids: Family Travel Planning

Thrilled to report… now isn’t that a great way to start a post?

Thrilled to report that myself and 50% of my bairns are off to Taiwan for a week this week. What a treat!

This is a working holiday, being a press trip organised with Taiwan Tourism. We are joining two other travel writers and their teenagers and will be very busy being shown the sights.

Taiwan is a small country and one of great contrasts. It’s an industrial powerhouse with modern, busy cities.

But it’s also a land of mountains, hot springs and beautiful beaches.

And then there’s the food. I’ve been drooling as I do my research.

This is Taipei 101, the most famous building in Taiwan.

This is the National Palace Museum, it holds one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese imperial art and artifacts.

Did you know taiwan has great natural beauty – I can’t wait to see the mountains and to try out the hot springs.

We’re loved watching some Youtube videos too.

We will be visiting water parks and theme parks, dessert cafes, a Hello Kitty cafe, Taipei’s famous zoo, some night markets, museums and famous buildings. The emphasis is on family activities and making sure the kids and teenagers love their visit.

Staying in three cities: Taichung, Kaohsiung and Taipei, we’ll be visiting Taiwan for just over a week.
