Beetroot, Banana and Pineapple Smoothie – No Seriously
When I first read this recipe, I snorted aloud with laughter.
It seemed such a daft idea that I just had to try it.
Beetroot in a smoothie – such nonsense But then we love our chocolate and beetroot cake, so why not?


Breakfast Beetroot and Banana Smoothie
SERVES: 2 -4
225g can of whole beetroot in juice, drained
250ml apple juice
225g can of pineapple rings in juice
2 bananas, peeled & broken into pieces 200ml natural greek-style yoghurt ½ cup crushed ice
Method
1. Place ingredients together in a blender, I used a Themromix on speed 8 for 1 minute.
2. Pour and drink!


The kids actually weren’t too sure at all. The big boys liked it and so did I. The twins had some but weren’t raving about it.
