Cottage Cheese As A High Protein Snack

I’m always on the hunt for a high protein snack that’s really quick and easy.
One of the best things I’ve learned – thank you Susie Burrell and VisionPT – is that having a high protein snack in the mid afternoon means I eat a lot less at dinner.
And I just don’t get that urge to nibble at night.
Now until recently, I wasn’t keen on low fat cottage cheese at all. Thought it’d be too dry and yukky.
Then I tried some.
Proved wrong!!
I often buy Aldi’s low fat cottage cheese, it’s my fave by far.

That’s not a bad mid-meal snack for me.
And I’ll often have 200mg of cottage cheese as my protein at lunch as well, giving me:
180 cals
375 kj
Protein 27.4g
Carbs: 7.2g
Fat: 2g
That with some fibre-packed fruit and veg and/or bread makes a good lunch.

With some Sami’s Kitchen spice blend – mix and scoff.

Latest lunch win… very good red onion and tomato jam from… with green leaf salad and some kidney beans… outrageous.
