Picnic Under The Stars – Astronomy In The Garden
When: Friday 10 May, 5.30pm – 8pm
Where: Lakeside Lawn, The Australian Botanic Gardens Mount Annan
Enjoy the Gardens under a starry night sky!
In collaboration with the Macarthur Astronomical Society, we will show you the stars. Join us for this family friendly “Picnic under the Stars” where the Macarthur Astronomical Society will set up their telescopes for you to peer into, and our local astronomers will explain what you can see in the wide sky over the our beautiful garden.
Suitable for ages 5 and above.
Cost: $15 per person (anyone aged over 5 years needs to have a ticket)

2019 Hawkesbury Show

Step right up and experience a local show like no other! From stunning fireworks displays to exhilarating rides and thrills. There’s something for everyone at the 2019 Hawkesbury Show. With so much to see and do, ride and play, eat and shop – it’s three days of fun and excitement for all the family.
From traditional favourites like woodchopping, livestock, district art and crafts exhibits through to amusements and showbags and a host of special daily surprises culminating in a massive fireworks display at the end of each day – the 2019 Hawkesbury Show is one not to be missed.

Family Sunday at the State Library
When: Sunday 26 May, 10.30am – 3pm
Where: State Library of New South Wales, Macquarie Street, Sydney
Join us for a full day of family fun at the State Library on 26 May, 10.30am to 3pm.
Workshops with not one but two celebrated children’s authors, adventure tours in our exhibitions, portrait drawing workshops, storytime for preschoolers and creative activities in the beautiful John B Fairfax Learning Centre. Introduce your children to the oldest Library in Australia with a whole day of family fun.
Authors include R. A. Spratt and Catherine Pelosi.
Cost: $10 per child, accompanying adults free.

Fast Jets and Amazing Pilots
When: Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 10:30 AM – 1 PM
Where: Nirimba TAFE College, Warawara Circuit, Quakers Hill
Join us to meet with amazing pilots who build and fly large scale jet aircraft models.
Ever dreamt of flying fast jets? What about a jet fighter, F16, F18 or maybe an L39 or MIG29? Did you make aircraft models as a kid and have always enjoyed watching aircraft go through their paces?
If so, you’re going to love the Jet Aircraft Models event we’re arranging for you, courtesy of SkyAces RC.
Join us at Quakers Hill in Sydney on Sunday 16th June to meet with amazing pilots who build and fly large scale jet aircraft models flying at 400 km/hour, coming into land at 90 km/hour with a perfectly sweet touch down. You’ll get up close with the aircraft and talk through their construction and technology with the pilots and watch them perform.
Early bird tickets are $10 per person.
