Frostbite Frozen Yoghurt at Dee Why

It was a warm Monday night last term and we’d just picked up Ms9 from choir practice. We were starving and decided to check out the shops on Oaks Avenue to see what we could grab. And behold!  There we found Frostbite Frozen Yoghurt, a very stylish, 1950’s American milk bar themed cafe selling frozen yoghurt. Just the ticket!

The kids and I went back another quieter day with the camera and snapped off these pictures whilst having a chat to the owners, who’ve lived in the USA themselves.

The frozen yoghurt is self serve. So you choose one or two flavours.

And swirl them on top of each other.

Then you can go crazy with the toppings, lots of sweet treats there to choose from.

The entire tub is then weighed and you pay $2.60 per 100 grams.

There are also shakes, coffees and cakes for sale.

We loved the groovy decor. The jukebox plays tunes. What young girl wouldn’t love this sofa?

I’m in love with all the ice cream colours.

There are a few sweet treats for sale too.

I bought a couple of these Soda Press drinks, you add them to soda water – very good and made locally too.

The kids were very thrilled with their treats. They did share and I can tell you that mango is my fave flavour.

Great to see a really unique cafe on the Northern Beaches.  Frostbite is just the ticket for a sweet treat after a trip to Dee Why Beach.
