Here’s a lovely idea for a Mothers Day day trip from Sydney or even a weekend away for Sydney families.

Sculpture At Scenic World is open until May 8th, and who wouldn’t love to wander through the Jurassic rainforest looking at beautiful and wildly imaginative sculptures?

The work of 33 artists is displayed throughout the rainforest.  There is also the Sculpture Otherwise exhibition at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, and Rock On – an outdoor exhibition of artworks in stone at various locations throughout the upper Mountains.

The winner of this year’s major prize was Michael McIntyre from Patonga on the Central Coast, for  Extinct Markers.

Check out the Sculpture At Scenic World website for all the information you need to plan a visit.

Scenic World is really good fun for kids, so even if they are a bit young to enjoy the sculptures, they are sure to have fun enjoying the delights of Scenic World.
