The Best Sydney Water Slides – Fun for Kids and Parents Too
All of my wild children love a speedy water slide. And in fact, I don’t mind one myself.
There are many here in Sydney, ranging from the very large water park Wet ‘n’ Wild, to smaller slides at swimming pools.
Guess what, you actually don’t need to spend a fortune to enjoy a slide with splash here in Sydney!

Two giant water slides are part of the fun of this Aquatic Centre. They are long, one is covered. Height restriction 1.3m but if a little shorter the life guards can do a swim assessment instead.
Open on weekends and public holidays, times vary depending on weather and and numbers of people in the centre. You need to pay extra for water slides.

Emerton Leisure Centre has a terrific indoor pool area with a 10-metre spiral slide. The slide doesn’t have a height restriction but staff say it is only for children aged five and over.
There are no strict opening hours for the slide, but it tends to open around once an hour so long as staff are available to oversee it.
In the meantime the leisure pool, with its spray jets and spa seats is great fun.

A long curving waterslide provides thrills and spills here. You need to pay extra to use the water slide. Open at weekends and during school holidays, call to check for specific hours as they vary. $2 charge for all day sliding.
Manly Surf n Slide (was Manly Waterworks)
This is a centre on the West Esplanade which just has three daring water slides. My family have had fantastic summer day’s out here. Highly recommend once your kids are big and brave enough.

Splashdown at Ryde!
Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre
There’s one huge 56m-long slide at Ryde, a huge swoosh of a ride. It’s open on weekends and in school holidays from 10am – 5pm. There is no height restriction and no extra charges apply.

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre
This Sydney swim and play mecca has a huge long water slide. You need to be over 1.2m to ride it, there’s a measuring chart at the entrance and they are strict.
The water slide is usually open during school holidays and at weekends, plus in the mid to late afternoons during the week. See the timetable here.
