Bronte Beach is one of Sydney's most family friendly beaches, it's great for kids.
Bronte Beach has to be the most family-friendly of of the Eastern Suburbs ocean beaches. Don’t you think?
We’ve splashed in the waves, splashed in the Bogey Hole, and done laps in the rock pool. My three boys have all loved that little train that chugs around the tracks at weekends. Great playground too!

Bronte is toddler and preschooler heaven and therefore can get busy but there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the manifold pleasures here.
Working landwards from the blue sea there is the large golden sand beach between scenic rocky headlands, the big natural rockpool known as the Bogey Hole at the southern end of the beach, the beautiful rockpool known as Bronte Baths with its nice shallow end.
The lovely wide promenade is very lovely, and the reserve beyond has wide swathes of grass, plenty of room to run and play cricket. The reserve has lots of shade, picnic tables and barbecues.
A model train gives rides to the kids and their enthusiastic parents on weekends and school holidays. Plus there are great paths for bikes and trikes.
To top it all is a wonderful playground at the rear of the reserve. Blimey!
Bronte has the lot and is a must-see for visitors and a must-visit-regularly for all youthful and zestful Sydneysiders.

Mum’s report: A fantastic spot, so don’t delay! Pack up the kids, towels, bucket and spade, the sunscreen and a few hats and head down to Bronte immediately. It’s one of the best places in Sydney for young children. That’s why is gets SO BUSY at the weekends though, it can be very hard to find a parking space, prepare to walk if necessary.
