Collaroy Beach Playground {Updated}- Sydney's Best Playgrounds

We love this playground! For its views, its space and its very happy family memories for us.

Collaroy Beach playground was one of the first playgrounds we visited after returning to Sydney with wild toddler in tow. We had been living in Karachi, and I’m telling you there were no playgrounds by the sea like this at all.

We couldn’t believe how fabulous the Sydney playgrounds were! And this was one we spent hours and hours in.

This playground has just re-opened after a complete re-vamp and is looking marvellous. It has the most excellent equipment, with a real focus on being an inclusive, all abilities playground.

Such a wonderful collection of equipment is now in this playground. Check out my photos to see what’s there.

Our faves are the new rope climbing frame, the water play area and the large flat swings. The artworks that dot the playground are lovely for us parents to look at and great fun for the kids to play on and around too.

The playground has a view of the beach and ocean, and gets the cooling sea breeze.

There are plenty of benches as well as picnic tables and there are gas BBQs inside and outside the playground. There is a grassy area to play outside the playground too, but it is close to the road.

See lots of photos below.

Nearest coffee: Cafes on Pittwater Road, and a it’s just a quick walk along the beach to the revamped Pelican Pavilion, read review here.

Toilets: Public toilets, showers and change rooms at the surf-lifesaving club just north of the carpark, entrance on the Pittwater Road side of the building

Shade: Shadecloth provides plenty of shade

Extra: Lovely beach and safe toddler pool and beach area, see Collaroy Beach post.

Mum’s report: A fantastic playground to be visited again and again. The kids never get bored of it and nor do we. It’s good to have the bike track within the enclosed park area.
