Good Enough Mum – Weakly* News

Ahhhh, the weekend and it’s been a rather long week.  I have so many people to feel grateful for having in my life this week; friends have really been very special.
But the biggest gratitude of the week is… that the twins were born safe and sound five years ago.  They had their birthdays on Monday and it was a lovely day.  At night we looked through all their baby photos and I’m posting one here.  The four of them were all so cute; how much they have all grown.  It’s all very bittersweet, isn’t it?

I always take birthday photos and have a special birthday photos album.  Here are a couple of my favourites of the twins.  They have a lot of character, matched only by their energy.  (So writes their totally exhausted mother.)

I looked after myself this week by taking a jaunt up to gorgeous Avalon Beach to meet a pal for coffee and to browse the books at Bookoccino.  What a treat, and the beach looked as glorious as ever.

And thanks twinnies for coming with me to visit three great parks in the last week; have posted Bilarong in Narrabeen and am making a video of that, and will post on the other two soon.

I’m NOT grateful for the enormous tantrum that was thrown in a playground on Friday, it was a doozy… but we all got over it in the end.  Kids get over these much faster than parents in my experience….

Are you grateful this weekend?  Is gratitude something you use as part of your self-care regime?  What?!  Don’t you have a self-care regime??

*not a typo!  I’m weak by the end of this week
