Now if theatre is your thing, or the children’s thing, there you must look out for the Monkey Baa Theatre Company.
Monkey Baa has been producing children’s theatre, as well as educational workshops and tours, for over 15 years. The company has a home at the Lend Lease Theatre in Darling Harbour, see map below.
The theatre’s location turns a simple show into a fab day out as the Darling Quarter playground is slap bang alongside. This is one of Sydney’s best playgrounds, it’s completely free… AND there are many different restaurants and cafes right beside both.
You cannot go wrong.
Shows vary, so you’ll need to check Monkay Baa’s website for the latest details. You can be guaranteed there will be a showstopper of a show each school holidays. Shows are generally great for children aged 3 – 15 years. And the adults will enjoy them too.

My daughter and her friend and myself loved the recent production of Roald Dahl’s “The Witches.” This was, miraculously, a one-man show! That actor worked super hard. It was very well done, entertaining for myself as much as the kids.
