Mother's Day Travel Treats for Sydney Mums

Billabong Retreat
Treetop cabins, yoga and meditation retreats, gourmet organic foods… and only 45 – 60 minutes drive from central Sydney. Weekend getaways can have themes like mindfulness for mums, cooking and fermenting workshops.
You can even do a single day retreat.Book me in.

Hilton Sydney Packages
There’s always a special on at the Hilton… and one day I might even get there!
Hydro Majestic
This Blue Mountains favourite is a grand old dame, just like Mum. Book Mum a room with a view over the magnificent Megalong Valley, and throw in the Hydro Majestic’s iconic high tea.
Wolgan Valley
This 6 star conservation resort in the Blue Mountains is now named the Emirates One + Only Wolgan Valley. That’s a bit of a mouthful but then again there’s a lot to say about this ultra luxurious retreat.
You can go spotting animals at night, do fantastic bush walks, mountain bike around the property, ride horses or lounge in the spa. Each room is a separate luxe cottage, each with its own pool.
This is a very expensive option BUT everything is included, no mini bar fees!
Cooking classes on the South Coast
I Feel Good cooking classes, in Berry on the South Coast, run plant-based whole food cooking classes. Or try nearby Broughton Mill Farm Guesthouse and Cooking School, a luxury country retreat runs cooking classes using local chefs and produce.
Bay of Fires Photography Workshop
This would be my number one Mother’s Day gift. I loved the Bay of Fires beach Walk last year down in Tasmania and would return any day. This landscape and night sky photography workshop sounds utterly divine. Sigh….

There are a few places that I’ve stayed with the kids and would love to return to alone or for a weekend away with girlfriends:
Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley
The Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains
And who’d ever say no to these treats?
The Langham in Melbourne or Sydney
Broke Fordwich – the quiet side of the Hunter Valley
And….. a gift for other mums
I love to support the Alola Foundation on Mother’s Day. Alola is an East Timorese NGO which runs development programs for women and children.

Sydney Mums, can you add to this list?
Where would be your ultimate Mother’s Day Travel Treat Escape?
Any chance of it happening this year?
Happy travel dreaming
