News: Merimbula Beach Holiday Park

Now, you know we love a beachfront holiday, and spend a lot of time at our little house at Jervis Bay.

Before we had the house, our family used to visit beachfront holiday parks. We’d stay in caravans or cabins, and the odd tent.

We roved up and down the coast with really notably fantastic stays at Ocean Beach Holiday Park at Umina on the NSW Central Coast and at Murramurang Beachfront Nature Resort on the south coast.

Our first ever stays at Jervis Bay as a family were at Huskisson Beach Tourist Resort. Ah…

Holiday parks work well for families with young children as they’re so safe. Cars travel around very slowly. There are usually other children to run around with too, and facilities can be fantastic.

Some holiday parks run kids’ activities, meaning parents can loll around for a few hours and actually relax. I know!

AND… at the moment there are fantastic deals to be had. If you don’t have to worry about school holidays (which we do sadly) then it’s a fab time to be packing up and heading off to the coast.

Most holiday parks have a special or two but I know readers will be interested in Merimbula Beach Holiday Park’s free kids activities throughout May and June.

Kids activities generally last an hour and can include exploring rock pools, sand sculpting, table tennis, volley ball and art and craft like face painting, making post cards and mask making.

This award-winning park is on the beautiful beach and has terrific facilities. We haven’t stayed here ourselves, but I’ve been perusing the website which is well laid out and super informative.  Plus it has lots of photos and video so you feel as if you know exactly what to expect.

Merimbula Beach Holiday Park’s website is here.

It’s struck me that I must do more reviews of holiday parks on this blog. If you’ve stayed at a great one recently, do let me know.

Have you stayed at a holiday park with the kids?

Did the kids enjoy any free activities?
