Skyzone Alexandria – Trampolines and Climbing For Kids

Hello Sydney Kids contributor Rebecca O’Farrell, who writes the terrific blog about eating out in Sydney with kids, Little Munch, has been on a bouncing adventure with her boys!

We were lucky enough to be invited to check out Sky Zone Alexandria on behalf of Hello Sydney Kids, for the launch of the new Angry Birds DVD.
Our whole household is keen on some Angry Bird action, so we were as happy “piggies in mud” as this event that’s for sure! The morning got off to a great start when “Red” welcomed us to the party.

Then all of the little birds in attendance flew off with the gorgeous Ji Wallace, an Olympic trampoline silver medallist. Ji showed the kids loads of tricks and they were able to experience a couple of the different trampoline areas of Sky Zone.

Then it was time to chill out with the delightful Bonnie Morgan. Bonnie is a wellness coach and showed all of the angry birds how to zen out with some awesome yoga moves. It’s amazing how kids can just get yoga straight away! Obviously they can do the poses so much easier than their creakier older parents, but they just kept so quiet and blissful for the entire session.

All parties require some sort of catering and there was a feast fit for a piggy king! Except that this feast was so healthy. With Angry Bird cheese, a fruit and vegie forest, fruit smoothies and bird seed, we now have some tips for how to host the coolest Angry Bird party in town!
The Angry Bird DVD is released nationally on 22.09.16 – just in time to keep all of your little birds entertained in the school holidays!

Now let me tell you a bit more about how awesome Sky Zone is.
There are jumping joints all over Sydney but there’s something special about Sky Zone. You can practically fly here (well almost). You can most definitely bounce off the walls if you want to, and you can try to climb as high as the sky.
There are over 100 interconnecting trampolines at Sky Zone. You can just bounce or you can catapult yourself into a foam pit or onto a massive pillow full of air. There’s dodge ball and walls to run up as wells a sky slam.

Sky Zone is for all ages and there are classes held during the week just for the little leapers in your life. Even the parentals can give it a red hot go, there’s even Sky Fit classes where you can jump that body of yours back into shape. And if your pelvic floor isn’t willing and able to bounce around, you can just hang out in the café that is on site (it overlooks most of the jumping areas).

Sky Zone isn’t just a trampoline park. You can also reach for the sky here in the Sky Climb arena. This section isn’t for the faint hearted or for vertigo sufferers. There are all sorts of weird and wonderful things to climb up really, really high, you just hitch a harness to yourself and off you go!
Sky Zone is also party central. There were birthday parties galore happening at Sky Zone on the Saturday morning we visited. You can choose between a jumping or climbing party (or a combined one if you want to go all out). There are either healthy or not so healthy options for the party food. And all parties receive an energetic party host. Click here for more info.
During the school holidays, Sky Zone hosts a festival of fun. Kids can participate in everything from treasure hunts to dress ups, craft and colouring in. They even have holiday camp!
So get your diaries out and start planning. And if you’re looking for an activity to keep your over 14s off the street, they can bust a move on Friday evening when Sky Zone becomes the Vault. A DJ is in residence pumping out the tunes, and there is access all areas for a huge night of flying fun.
