Sydney's Best Playgrounds- Burwood Park

Burwood Park has such a lot to look at, it’s a lovely place to while away some time on a spring day.

There’s the duckpond of course, the elderly gents playing chess and there are places to cycle and scooter.  And a terrific, fully enclosed playground! This playground is not modern or groovy, but it certainly gets the job done.

This large, oval playground with lots for the under fives, is at one side of the grassy expanse of Burwood Park. There are seats dotted around the perimeter of the play area and picnic tables and a barbecue nearby.

The play equipment includes swings, spring rockers, seesaws, spiral slides, wobble walk, tunnel, viewing bubble and flying fox. Children also like the huge chessboard near the toilet block, although the chess players may not appreciate their input to the game.

Mum’s report: Good play structures with plenty of equipment and the kids love the nearby rotunda.  The duck pond is an also must-visit on our trips to Burwood Park.
