The Little Prince – Theatre Show These School Holidays

Monkey Baa is the favourite Sydney theatre of my young twins and myself. We know that each school holidays a highly engaging show will be performed.
And – shhhh, don’t tell the kids – we will always learn something as we are entertained.
Plus, we always have a play at Darling Quarter’s magnificent water playground before or after – or both. And of everybody is very good we have a snack or meal at one of the many cafes right alongside.
For the upcoming school holidays, we have two children’s shows to enjoy, The Little Prince and Random Musical.

The Little Prince
Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s timeless classic comes alive in this delightful Spare Parts Puppet Theatre production.
The Little Prince travels across the universe, exploring themes of friendship on his adventures.
Hand-carved puppets are used to bring the book to life. And, did you know, The Little Prince is one of the world’s best selling books ever?
The French author, an aristocrat, writer and aviator, published Le Petit Prince in 1943. If it isn’t already one of your family’s favourite fantasy stories, then do quickly get hold of a copy.
Then do pop along to this theatrical production. The puppets will entrance the children just as much as the story they tell.

Relaxed Performance
Thursday 7th July 2016 – 12.30pm – all tickets $17.00
“Relaxed performances modify the so-called ‘theatre rules’ so the environment is as welcoming and inclusive as possible.
For example, the house lights may be left on during the show, patrons are able to exit whenever necessary and enter the theatre early to familiarise themselves with the theatre environment.”
Relaxed performances are very suitable for younger children and those with additional needs. As a mum of a son with autism spectrum disorder, I am really happy to see this offered!
