Two Silly Things and Something Gorgeous

Now then, I’m trying something a bit different here this morning, a quick audio blog.

The Second Silly Thing

Why do I persist in thinking that hot tea, iPods and handbags are a good combination?

Actually there’s really no problem as the tea was in a waterbottle which is COMPLETELY leakproof….

So long as you close the lid properly.

I didn’t and two iPods did laps of the bag for a few moments. This was at 7am this very morning… boo hoo….

The iPods are stil, so far, working…. please pray for them.

I’ve done this before with same tea, different bag and my iPhone… some mistakes are very expensive and clearly I didn’t learn from that one.

And Something Gorgeous

Myself and Minnie and Teen16 were down at Dee Why yesterday, Teen16 was taking photos for a geography thingy.

The two children often don’t get along well at all, but they did yesterday, and that was glorious for a mother to see.

This image, and being there, had us in transports of delight. But sad to have no cossies with us – daft!

I’m glad the day was beautiful because it made me happy to be here in Sydney, at a time when I so, so wish I could be in Scotland… am heart broken not to be, in fact. That’s a post for another day.

Often we feel that we struggle as parents… but then a moment turns up that sums up all we wish for our kids… this is one of mine.

Thanks for this gorgeous day, and for being able to really enjoy it even at a time when our thoughts are often elsewhere.
