Pyrmont Festival

Celebrating the inner city and the country charms of the Mudgee Region, there’s lots going on in Pyrmont.

Where:  Pirrama Park, Pyrmont

When:  Saturday and Sunday 14th-15th May-

Pirrama Park will be a feast for the senses from 11am – 5pm this coming weekend.  There’s live music, local artists, rides and children’s’ entertainment and approximately 100 stalls where guests can meet wine-makers, participate in tastings and sample a broad range of fine foods.

For the kids the highlight will be a performance by Hi-5 on Saturday at 11am, with a meet and greet after the short show.

Castle Hill Farmers & Fine Food Market

When: Saturday, 14th May 2016  8am – 12 noon

On every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month

Campbeltown Steam and Machinery and Museum Open Day

Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May: wagon rides and train rides, blacksmithing demos, vintage cars and military vehicles on show. All for a small entry fee.

Curry Festival at St Ives Showground

Saturday 14th May: Lots of curry, Bollywood performances, music, wine, kids rides and fireworks.

Paws In The Park at Camden

Sunday 15th of May:  A day out for dogs and doggy lovers.

Riverstone Festival

Saturday 14th May: Stalls, rides, antique machinery, food, craft, history and entertainment.

Million Paws Walk at Sydney Olympic Park

The biggest doggy day on the RSPCA calendar. Come to this festival of all things canine and help support animal welfare.

Biennale of Sydney

So much art to see around Sydney! The website is very detailed and can help you make sense of what is on. Surprisingly there’s no section of the site focussing on kids, though there is an education section.

“The Asia Pacific region’s largest contemporary visual arts event features 83 artists hailing from 35 countries and is presented free to the public across seven venues or ‘Embassies of Thought’ and multiple ‘in-between spaces’ around the inner city, from Friday 18 March until 5 June 2016. The exhibition is supplemented by a comprehensive schedule of public programs including daily guided tours, artist and curator-led talks, lectures, workshops, salons, reading groups and gatherings.”
