What's On For Kids in Sydney: 21st – 28th July

A sunny and warm weekend is ahead for Sydney, hooray.

Here are four fab fun families events on this weekend, for your delectation and reading pleasure.

Toy Festival at Rouse Hill House & Farm

When:  Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July, 10.30am – 3.30pm

Where:    Rouse Hill House & Farm, 356 Annangrove Rd, Rouse Hill NSW 2155

Getting there:  Carparking available via the National Parks Paddock Carpark on Guntawong Road. A special shuttle bus operated by the Sydney Bus Museum will run both days between Riverstone Station and the Rouse Hill House & Farm visitor carpark.

There’s a a packed program of entertainment and old fashioned fun including vintage games, storytelling and theatre, roving performers and live music, artisan toy sellers and collectors, plenty of food stalls and more.

The Rocks Aroma Festival

When: Sunday 24 July, 10am – 5pm

Where: All over The Rocks and Foreshore area

OK so this one might be more for we sleep-deprived parents, but there’s plenty for the kids to enjoy at The Rocks too.

Over 60 roasters and gourmet food stalls will tempt your tastebuds and delight your sense of smell. Then there’s  live music, latte art demonstrations, coffee and tea leaf reading, and competitions, pop-up bars and cafes.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the Australiana Pioneer Village

When:  Sunday 24th July

Where:  Australiana Pioneer Village, Rose Street, Wilberforce

Bring your teddy and let him or her have their Annual Teddy Health Check with the Teddy Nurse. Make a teddy, meet lots of teddies and enjoy games and competitions.

Plus you can enjoy a visit to this restored and authentic village from pioneer days. There’s a blacksmith, old buildings to explore, train rides and horse and cart rides to enjoy.

Make a day trip to this village near Windsor and enjoy the tranquility of the Hawkesbury region.

Entry fees:  Adults $5. School-aged Children $3, Family $15 (2 adults and 2 school aged children), Children under 5 years – Free

Doonside Village Festival

When: 23 July, 2016 from 9am – 3pm

Where: Corner of Cross Street and Hill End Road, Doonside

Join in the family fun and enjoy animals to pet, entertaiment on stage, lots of food to try, craft stalls, free rides, a display of cars,  an AFL demonstration and dog agility and obedience classes from Mighty Woof.
