What's On: Shows + Exhibitions These Sydney School Holidays

We’re all for playing outdoors and not spending too much money. But school holidays is also a good time for treats, and a show at a theatre is just that.

For your delectation, here’s a list of all the theatre shows on these September/October school holidays 2015.

The Australian Ballet

The Australian Ballet is touring a Storytime ballet production of the Sleeping Beauty, aimed at children aged three and up.

It’s playing at the Sydney Opera House from 23rd – 27th December and at The Concourse in Chatswood from 30th December – 3rd January.

Glen Street Theatre

The show on during these holidays is  Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

This holiday’s show is the Little Mermaid, playing at Knox Grammer school from 20th September to 3rd October.

Riverside Theatres

Riverside has the Spot On Children’s Festival from 29th September – 4th October. There are all sorts of free and ticketed events: circus, theatre, storytelling and music.

The Seymour Centre

Showing these school holidays is Cranky Bear and Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts, plus lots of free workshops and performances.

Running throughout the school holidays is the smash hit musical Matilda.
