An Accelerator Day in Pictures – 1
Well, it’s two and a half months into 2014 and strangely enough the couple of kilos I put on during our Christmas trip are still nestled around my tummy.
And it’s 100% true that at menopause weight shifts to the tummy, it always used to stay around my hips and thighs.
Anyway, I need to take care with food and so I’m back doing accelerator days. And I’m shifting the last of the posts on my 2012 get fit blog The Mum’s Diet.
Do you know what an accelerator day is? Read more here.
Luckily, I really love eating this kind of food.
Here’s one accelerator day – my version anyway – in photos.
Breakfast: Ingredients for a big two-egg, and egg white and veggie omelette.

Snack: jerky, a great workout for the jaws!

Lunch: vast quantities of tuna salad

Afternoon tea: late and on the run, kept it simple

The salad made for dinner, rocket, fresh herbs, tomatoes and heaps of avocado.

Pre-dinner snack: a few of these bocconcini

Dinner: lots of kangaroo on a (king size) bed of salad, splash of dressing

All washed down by gallons of tea throughout the day.

I think I ate quite a lot, certainly never once felt too hungry.
But I tell you what, a day of eating like that makes you feel fantastic!
