Cafe Piemonte is a very child-friendly cafe in the north of Sydney.
Isn’t this the kind of sign you just love to see.
‘Kids playground at rear’ has a certain ring to it.
Cafe Piemonte is my new local. The kindy mums from the twins’ school are meeting here after dropoff regularly.
And of course I have to go each time, such are the onerous duties of the class mum.
How do I manage? I just don’t know. Tough, tough life. Not!

Here’s the playground, right beside the verandah area as you can see in photo below.

Cafe Piedmonte is a large cafe/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, attached to a lovely flower market and garden shop.
The big attraction here for the under fives is the excellent enclosed playground which is part of the cafe. Set right beside the outdoor terraces of the cafe, the play equipment includes climbing frames, bridges and slides.
It is a good size, particularly good for preschoolers. The cafe asks that parents accompany children under three years into the playground.
Breakfasts are excellent, snacks, coffees and light meals are served. Cafe Piemonte is licensed, making it one of the few child-friendly where mum can enjoy a glass of wine with her meal.
Full restaurant meals are served, the menu has steaks and chicken dishes plus pizzas and pasta.

Mum’s report: Great place for a celebration when you want a really good, proper meal, but want the children to come too. Also great for catching up with friends for coffees. A great favourite for groups of local school mums and mothers’ groups.
