Bella Vista Farm is the latest venue for Lil Miss Collins pop-up café. Themed as a small rustic farm house this gorgeous little café could not look more at home.

Seating is all open air and well-spaced so that you don’t feel as if you are in a café so much as a country garden party; on a practical note this also means that there is plenty of space for prams.

We arrived just after the gates opened at 8am and there were a handful of tables already there, an hour later all tables were full and there were people waiting for tables to become available.

However, as it’s such a picturesque location, people seemed to be happily exploring the farm while they waited.

The menu is a mixture of café classics and Mediterranean options, we had a mix of savoury and sweet breakfasts and all were as beautifully presented as they were delicious.

My French toast came with blueberries, raspberries and caramelised banana and looked so pretty I almost didn’t want to eat it. I also lost a fair amount of it to my daughter who is normally very suspicious of new foods.  Both the Mediterranean Breakfast and the Collins Brekky were devoured by my companions.

For me the true test of any café is the coffee and it certainly didn’t disappoint, however my husband’s loaded shake looked so yummy I had a small pang of envy when it arrived.

Miss 3 was delighted that the babyccinos came in lovely little cups on real saucers with a marshmallow, her “real coffee“ was the highlight of the morning as far as she was concerned.

The staff were lovely, even when the café was busy and we didn’t feel rushed at all.  I can see this being a very popular place over the summer but you need to get in fast as the Lil Miss Collins cafe is only going to be in Bella Vista until the end of February.

Enclosed: Partially fenced but open to the carpark so keep a keen eye on little runners

Shade: Yes, some shady tables and some in the sunshine

Mum’s report: What a beautiful setting for this gorgeous pop-up café, lots of space for the kids to wander about and as it’s open air with tables spaced well apart you don’t need to be too worried about the noise your little ones are making!
