The Twins Review – Harrigans Irish Pub + Acomodation

Oh happy days! I do just love getting away from home.  Love leaving and then adore getting back.

As a single young slapper I zoomed all over the place, most exotic perhaps was the scuba diving off Zanzibar.  Since I had the kids, I’ve found that a trip across town can be equally challenging.

These days, I’m starting to almost enjoy getting away with the kids in tow.  It’s becoming less sheer ardure and more of an adventure.  About time!

Here’s a photo and video mini-review of Harrigan’s Irish Pub and Accomodation.

This is where the twins and I stayed for the night when we went to see the Christmas Lights Spectacular at the Hunter Valley Gardens.

Here’s a twin-tastic minute of video, where their expert opinion is revealed.

We were kindly put up by Harrigans – many thanks – so I wanted to repay the treat by posting some info that might be useful to other families looking for somewhere to stay in the Hunter Valley.

All the rooms and units are on ground level and parking is right outside. That’s handy when you have children with you.

There is heaps of safe space to run around at the rear of the rooms.

My two children enjoyed whizzing in and out of the room.

Plenty of space and views of vines outside, lovely.

The bedrooms are spacious, look how much room there is for the mess my kids make.

The pool is large and lovely, with lots of space to play.

Pool is excellent for leaping into!

The pub itself is full of Irish decor and ambience.  There is a fenced beer garden with a bouncy castle beside it.  Very handy and I shall definitely make better use of that next visit.

We enjoyed a huge Irish buffet breakfast, so much so that it’s going to get its own blog post.  Yup, it was that good; we do love a good breakfast in our family.
