Will you be my friend? Friendship tips for new kids at school and for parents too – Hello Sydney KidsHello Sydney Kids

This gorgeous little tacker is my first son on his first ever day at school.

I cannot begin to tell you how thrilling and emotional that day was for our family: we hadn’t ever really quite believed that he would go to school.

And to a mainstream school at that… he’d been offered a place at Aspect’s school for children with autism spectrum, but I really hoped that the tiny school he went to would work better for him.  It did.

It worked well for me too, I made friends, we gained family friends that we are still close to many years later.

Today over on the Mother and Baby website, I’m sharing my top tips for friendships when starting school – and that’s both for the children and the parents.

Read the post here.  And I would so love to hear your thoughts and experiences over on the comments section there, if you have a minute.

Hope the week’s started well for you.

Will you have a coffee with a school mum friend?
